Recovery for Shore is a mid-shore group that promotes the right and resources to recover through advocacy, education and demonstration of the power and proof of long-term recovery.
Recovery In Motion offers a wide range of services that provide our community with the tools to increase their wellbeing. Support includes individual & group counseling, behavioral health education/prevention, peer support and care coordination to assist persons in recovery with behavior and addiction issues. The Addictions Treatment and Preventions Services offer assessments; individual, group, and family counseling; referrals and prevention services for adults. Since alcoholism and drug addiction are chronic, progressive, potentially fatal diseases, a personal commitment with the support of community resources helps individuals and their families in this lifelong recovery process.
The primary purpose of Mid-Shore Intergroup, like the individual A.A. group, is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. This Intergroup is established to serve the individual member groups in carrying out those functions which are common to all A.A. groups but which may be best handled by a central office. These functions are described in some detail in the General Service Office publication, “A.A. Guidelines – Central or Intergroup Offices.”

Hudson Health provides inpatient substance abuse treatment, including detoxification, inpatient/rehab, and partial hospitalization levels of care. They accept clients with mental health diagnoses, provided they are stable and addiction is the primary problem. On-call assessment staff is available 24 hours/ 7 days a week. Hudson Health has been in operation since 1980, is state certified, and JCAHO accredited.
The A. F. Whitsitt Center is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week residential treatment facility offering treatment to adults ages 18 and over suffering from chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders.
A professional treatment team comprised of nurses, addiction counselors and staff physician as well as social worker, care coordinator and psychiatrist. A combination of their skills and experience provide a complete program tailored to the needs of each patient. Our program is a variable length of stay with referral to sober living housing as needed.
