St. Martin’s House / Barn (Ridgely)

Saint Martin’s House offers a transitional program to assist homeless women and their families in gaining education, self-knowledge and life skills. The program requires commitment and desire to change behaviors.

A family may reside at Saint Martin’s House for up to 24 months as long as the resident complies with program guidelines and achieves planned goals.

Talbot Interfaith Shelter (Talbot County)

The Talbot Interfaith Shelter is a voluntary interfaith-based service organization in Talbot County, Maryland. We are dedicated both to providing safe, temporary shelter to men, women, and children who lack adequate housing, and to raising awareness of the issues of homelessness in our community.

Our vision is that no one in Talbot County will ever have to spend a night on the streets, in a car or in the woods because he or she cannot find housing.

Winter Haven (Caroline County)

Winter Haven’s ministry and community resource shelter program provides a compassionate, life saving, spiritually and physically safe and comfortable haven for families, and single adults on the Mid-Shore needing emergency shelter and experiencing homelessness. Winter Haven helps all people regardless of their religion, race ethnicity, or gender. Winter Haven provides guidance and temporary housing in a safe and dignified environment and helps guests regain productive and independent lives.

Haven Ministries (Queen Anne’s County)

Haven Ministries is a coalition of Christian churches providing shelter, clothing, and food.

We operate on the premise of showing God's love to the poor within our community by providing essential service. By doing this, we reconcile guests to God, themselves, and others. We are non-profit, faith-based organization who is committed to making a difference.

To provide a warm and safe environment for men, women, and children.  To provide hope through Jesus Christ to those in need.

The Samaritan Group (Kent County)

The Emergency Winter Shelter is open from January through March each winter. We provide those without overnight shelter a place to sleep and stay warm in local churches staffed primarily by volunteers. Efforts are made so that our guests can attend school, get to work and have access to resources for other services. During the remaining nine months of the year, we provide emergency overnight shelter for those in need with temporary shelter at a local motel.

Cecil County Men’s Shelter (Elkton)

The Cecil County Men’s Shelter, often referred to as Settlement House, provides transitional housing for men who are experiencing a period of homelessness in their lives. The Men’s Shelter is within walking distance to medical services, social services, and employment opportunities in Elkton. The men move toward independence, greater self-sufficiency and increased hope and wholeness by receiving referrals to medical and mental health providers, help with job search or improved education, case management, the hospitality of food and friendship, and individual and small group interaction.
