Stepping Stone is one of the largest providers of transitional recovery houses in the state of Maryland and is an approved provider for the state-wide ATR (Access To Recovery) program. They have over 100 beds in Baltimore and Anne Arundel County and have a house in Queen Anne's county.
Stepping Stone Recovery Houses are just that -"A necessary step in the process of freedom through recovery." They provide a structured, clean, and safe living environment that helps those who want help. They encourage independence with a strong support network from a group home environment that is there when needed. Their recovery houses offer all of today's modern necessities such as complimentary phone, cable TV, and high speed internet.
Their recovery house charter is built on the support of the family-unit in the house. The group home structure is invaluable for the health of the person and the overall house. The continuing support of the people in the house provides a framework the individual can build on. Their recovery homes have a very specific program to achieve success. They take pride in each recovery house and the benefit that is gained not only to the house residents but also to the surrounding local communities.
Their facilities are often considered the best house in the neighborhood. Their separate men’s and women's homes are located within walking distance to many forms of public transportation from Baltimore, to Annapolis, to Severna Park and Glen Burnie.
They are a recognized and recommended transitional housing option working closely with local treatment and medical facilities as well as many Anne Arundel County and neighboring county programs. In addition, they have many contacts and referrals from local aftercare programs, employment agencies and spiritual groups in Anne Arundel and neighboring counties.
